Performance Health Technologies Announces Additions to Board of Directors
Trenton, NJ (October 17, 2007)Performance Health Technologies, Inc. (PHT), a leader in the development and marketing of innovative products that guide and monitor exercise and rehabilitation, announced two additions to its Board of Directors. The Directors include board-certified orthopedic and plastic surgeon, Gary Neil Goldstein, M.D., and David J. Lenihan, CEO of Hx Technologies and Founder and former Chairman and CEO of CareGain, Inc., a health software technology developer.
"We believe that our Board of Directors, and their relationships with key participants in the medical industry will prove invaluable as we grow our business," said PHT’s Chief Executive Officer Robert D. Prunetti. "Both Gary and David have already played an integral role in helping the Company develop relationships in the health industry."
Board-certified in seven medical fields, and licensed to practice medicine in five states, Dr. Goldstein is currently an associate professor in the Orthopedic Residency Program at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. In addition, he is also the attending physician at numerous regional facilities, including: Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia, Kennedy Memorial Health Care System, Cooper Medical Center, and Virtua Health Care System, where he previously served as Chief of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Mr. Lenihan is currently the CEO of Hx Technologies, Inc. a Philadelphia based healthcare software and services company focused on sharing “scattered” health data, particularly radiology records. Prior to this, he founded Windsor, N.J.-based CareGain, Inc. in 2001. He led the company as chairman and chief executive officer from its inception until its sale to Fiserv Health in 2006. CareGain provides enterprise software solutions to some of the nation’s largest health plans. He has had an extensive career in healthcare information technology, finance, and investments domestically and abroad.
