Brand PosturePals

PosturePals work in three ways:

RESTRICTION. Helps to prevent poor posture by maintaining the spine at or near its neutral (unloaded) position.

RECOGNITION. Aids in drawing the user's attention to the positions or activities that take the spine out of the neutral posture. Being mindful of problem activities, the patient can then modify activities accordingly.

RE-EDUCATION. By force of habit, slouching feels normal or comfortable and correct sitting feels abnormal or awkward. To correct this anomaly, the elastic characteristic exerts a gentle correcting force whenever posture starts to slack. The slight pull prompts users to improve posture, using their own muscles to improve strength and endurance. Through repetition and constant correction, a new "healthy" posture will be learned.
