The Sammons Preston Infant Transport Mattress is easy to activate and use, making it ideal for medical staff during neonatal transport. To begin, locate the internal disc and grasp it with your thumb and forefingers, then bend it back and forth until crystals begin to form. Knead the pack for 10 to 30 seconds to evenly distribute the heat. Press the center of the pack with your palm to create a small nest, then place the infant in the nest on the soft fabric side of the mattress. During use, regularly check the infant’s skin and monitor core temperature to ensure safe and comfortable warming.
