Initial Set-Up
Set up your device using four simple steps. First, insert batteries by opening the compartment on the back of your device. Then, connect lead wires to the device, making sure the wires are fully inserted. Next, connect the lead wires to the electrodes. Know that any of the electrodes can be connected to any of the lead wires. Lastly, determine the correct electrode placement by referring to your guide, to ensure a safe and effective therapy session.
Device Kit Options
Choose the option that best fits your needs. The Columbia 6000 NMES Dysphagia device kit includes 10 sets of Columbia 600 1” diameter pig tail connection electrodes. There is also the Columbia 6000B NMES Dysphagia device kit that has 10 sets of Columbia 600B .86” diameter mini-snap connection electrodes with a butterfly patch.
Specifications
The Columbia 6000 Device has two therapy channels, one preset therapy program, and uses the NMES as the therapy output mode. The available waveform characteristics are square, symmetrical, bi-phasic, and a constant current output. All the values of the output voltage range are VAC P2P with a maximum of 100 volts and no load.The output current range with all values being mA P2P are dual intensity potentiometers :25 mA P2P and they have a constant current regulation from 0-4000 ohms load minimum. The pulse width range is 300 microseconds and the pulse frequency range is 80 Hz. This device has an internal power supply of (4) AA Cells (1.5V). Do not use lithium cell greater than 1.6V.
