Being easy to custom fit, the orthosis does not need tools or heat guns to mold to the user. The covers are washable and absorbent while the straps help prevent skin breakdown. The orthosis comes with side wings that help prevent ulnar/radial deviation. The straps accommodate slight fluctuations in edema and fragile skin. The orthosis comes with a removable splint insert that can be cleaned with warm water and soap. With not stretching the Thenar Eminence, the orthosis resists strong Flexion Synergy as well.
