Pre- and Post-Operative Limb Stabilization and Pressure Injury Prevention
The HEELIFT® Traction Suspension Boot is designed for both pre-operative and post-operative use. In the pre-operative setting, it applies traction to stabilize the limb prior to surgery and delivers straight skin traction similar to Buck’s traction. Following surgery, it can be used without the traction device mechanism, converting into a suspension boot that helps support the limb during rehabilitation and aids in the prevention of pressure injuries and ulcers.
Enhanced Comfort, Safe Handling, and Expanded Pressure Off-loading
The HEELIFT® Traction Suspension Boot is designed with a smooth rear nylon fabric strip that allows the device to glide easily across bedsheets and through blankets. Rounded corners and innovative stitching help eliminate rough edges that could otherwise irritate or damage patient skin. The system also features a customizable heel offloading boot that can be adjusted to relieve pressure on additional at-risk areas beyond the heel, helping to prevent secondary ulcers and injuries.
Foot Deformities and Integrated DVT Prevention Compatibility
The HEELIFT® Traction Suspension Boot is designed to accommodate drop foot deformities with a customizable extra foam pad for added support and positioning. It also features a built-in groove for SCD tubing from sequential compression device boots used in the prevention of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), allowing for compatible and efficient integration of both therapies.
Easy Cleaning and Low-Maintenance Care
The HEELIFT® Traction Suspension Boot is easy to disinfect using sprays or wipes for routine cleaning. It is also machine washable and dryable for convenient maintenance; however, the use of bleach is not recommended to help preserve the integrity of the materials.
