My Plate-Mate Food Guard prevents food from being pushed off the plate. This helps make mealtime less messy. It also offers a sturdy surface to scoop against, making it easier to get food onto your silverware without it falling over the plate’s edge.
The concave wall assists in guiding food onto the utensil, and is secured to the plate with an internal groove. You can feel good about placing food on this plate because it's BPA, phthalate, and latex-free. The food guard is helpful for the elderly and those with disabilities who need the aid while eating. It can also be used to limit a toddler’s frustration while teach how to use a utensil during self-feeding.
The Plate-Mate snaps on to existing plates to create a lipped plate. The small size fits plates with a diameter of 8" to 9-1/2". The large size fits plates with a diameter of 9" to 11". They’re an alternative to other assistive dining aids, such as a scoop dish, and don’t require buying new dishes to use.
