To reduce contact with the foot, the splint has an expanded area over the heel and Achilles tendon. The splint gives 0° of flexion at the ankle. For extra comfort and protection, the splint is pre-padded with 1/4" Polycushion Padding. The extra-wide large splint is meant for someone with a larger calf and foot.
