The Skil-Care Foot Cradle & Contracture Accommodation Kit is designed to provide secure foot positioning and lower-extremity support for wheelchair users. It helps control foot drop, accommodates existing leg flexion contractures, and assists in preventing the progression of additional contractures by promoting proper positioning. The cradle also helps keep the feet safely aligned on the wheelchair footrests, reducing the risk of the feet slipping off during mobility. By enhancing stability, comfort, and positioning, the Foot Cradle & Contracture Accommodation Kit supports safer wheelchair use while helping maintain optimal lower-limb alignment.

Customizable Contracture Accommodation

For individuals who require greater contracture accommodation than the standard pads provide, the Contracture Accommodation Kit offers an ideal solution. The kit includes vinyl-covered foam pads in multiple thicknesses, allowing the depth of the foot cradle to be customized to accommodate a wide range of flexion contractures. Each pad is equipped with Velcro® strips for secure attachment to the back of the cradle or to other pads, making it easy to achieve the desired level of support and positioning.

Durable, Easy-to-Clean Construction

The Skil-Care Foot Cradle & Contracture Accommodation Kit is constructed with durable, latex-free materials and covered in high-quality vinyl for long-lasting performance in healthcare and home care settings. The vinyl surface is easy to maintain using a spray-type cleanser and a damp cloth, helping to keep the product clean and hygienic. For optimal fastening performance, accumulated lint and fibers can be removed from the Velcro® closures with a small, stiff brush. Secure closures help keep the cradle and pads firmly in place, providing reliable support during everyday use.
