Louisa Boyd, BSOT, LANA-certified, is an occupational therapist and nationally recognized lymphatic therapy educator with more than a decade of experience advancing lymphedema care, education, and advocacy. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Kansas and received her lymphedema certification from the Norton School of Lymphatic Therapy in 2011, followed by certification through the Lymphology Association of North America (LANA).
A passionate educator and advocate, Louisa has appeared in public service campaigns focused on lymphedema awareness, bioimpedance technology, and axillary web syndrome (cording). She also founded a local lymphedema study group and organized educational programming for healthcare professionals. In 2018, she traveled to Washington, D.C., to advocate for passage of the Lymphedema Treatment Act.
Louisa has also contributed extensively to the National Lymphedema Network (NLN) as an Ambassador, moderator for NLN Modalities Discussion Groups, and facilitator for the NLN March Madness Micro-Conference. In 2021, she founded nPress, a clinical training company dedicated to advancing education in therapeutic treatment modalities.
Through her work, Louisa remains committed to strengthening the lymphology community, fostering collaboration among clinicians and educators, and inspiring the next generation of therapists to pursue careers in lymphatic care.
