A Clinician’s Guide for Quick Treatment Table Upholstery Cleaning

Your treatment table is an essential tool designed to support your patients’ recovery and well-being.

We understand the demands of your practice and your commitment to maintaining high-quality medical equipment. That’s why we’re providing this quick upholstery cleaning guide. For routine maintenance, we recommend using warm water with mild soap to keep the upholstery clean, durable, and professional in appearance. For fast sanitation between patient treatments, PHS Medical suggests using Protex wipes or spray.

Daily Cleaning Recommendation: For cleaning and sanitation after a day of use, a solution of 10% mild household liquid dish soap with warm water, applied to the upholstery with soft damp cloth. Rinse with clean water and dry.

Stains on Upholstery: For stains to the upholstery, dampen a soft white cloth in a one to one (1:1) solution of Fantastik® and water OR Formula 409® and water. Rub gently and rinse with a water dampened cloth.

What to Do for Tough Stains: The above advice didn’t make the stain budge? For more difficult stains, dampen a soft white cloth with a solution of household bleach (10% bleach / 90% water). Rub gently and rinse with a water dampened cloth to remove bleach concentration.

Legs & Frames: To maintain a like-new look, regularly wipe down, with damp clean towel, the table legs and frame to remove dust, dirt, and grime. It’s an easy task to forget and overlook, but keeping up with it will help your clinic look professional. Let your care for your equipment reflect the amount of care your patients receive.

DO NOT USE: Heavy cleaners like ammonia-based, acetone-based, alcohol, or citric acid-based cleaners as they can cause discoloration and degrade or damage your product over time.

Your priority is your patients; when stains happen you shouldn't need to stress about battling the mess. With these tips and tricks, we hope you're well-equipped to tackle any stains you encounter and keep your clinic and equipment looking sleek and professional so you can serve your patients in a sterile and immaculate environment.
