Dr. Melissa Buss graduated from the University of Pittsburgh (2007) with a BS in Psychology and a BS in Rehabilitation Sciences. She then attended the University of Pittsburgh’s Doctorate of Physical Therapy program (2010) and completed her Women’s Health Residency at UPMC Center for Rehabilitation Services in Pittsburgh, PA (2012). At this time, she completed coursework to become Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) and passed the examination to become a Women’s Health Clinical Specialist (WCS). In 2013, she moved to Tucson, AZ and joined BodyCentral Physical Therapy, an outpatient private practice. With BodyCentral she has created and oversees 3 accredited Physical Therapy Residency programs and 2 fellowship programs. When BodyCentral Physical Therapy joined with Therapy Partners Group in 2020, her role expanded to include residencies in multiple states and with several brand partners. She currently serves as the Senior Director of Residencies, Fellowships, and Clinical Education, developing and overseeing educational programming for clinicians and maintaining a clinical practice, treating patients of all ages and genders with a wide variety of diagnoses in pelvic health, oncology and lymphatic dysfunction.
