With many people spending most of their time at home with their families, finding a spot and the equipment for a proper workout can be difficult. A resistance band is a great tool for achieving a full body workout that doesn’t require too much space. But besides the concerns of making sure you are maintaining your fitness, you may also be struggling to ensure that your children get enough time exercising.
Three ways to turn your fitness time into family fun:
1. Resistance Bands
Theraband Resistance Bands now have resistance levels ranging from 3 pounds to 50 pounds, so people of all strengths and ages can take advantage of the full body workout capabilities. There are countless exercises that can be done with a resistance band, including lunges, squats, and curls.
For smaller children you can create an exercise plan and complete it by playing Simon Says, Follow the Leader, or make a spinning wheel with all of the different exercise options.

2. Yoga
You can do a lot of yoga with just a mat and maybe some blocks. Following along with a video or teaching your kids simple techniques or stretches can set them up for a lifetime of great fitness & self care. There are a variety of YouTube videos available from yoga for kids in the park to yoga with Paw Patrol, Bubble Guppies, and Team Umizoomi to a Frozen inspired yoga adventure, and so much more!
3. Exercise Balls
Exercise balls assist in low-impact workouts for all fitness levels. They can be used for push ups, core roll-outs, and many more exercises with or without additional resistance. Compete in a plank balancing contest or teach a safe way to bounce while sitting on the ball and see if your kids even notice they are doing an ab and cardio workout. TheraBand PRO Series SCP Exercise Balls come in a variety of sizes for different heights and abilities.
No matter the ages or abilities involved, you can make workouts work for your whole family!
